A recent incident has thrown a family and community into mourning after a woman identified as Mrs. Ngozi Josephine Udobi Eze was reportedly killed by kidnappers in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to an emotional post shared online by a grieving family member Ezeh Harris Smith, their mom had reportedly left home on Friday, May 8, “full of life and strength,” with no sign that tragedy was ahead. The family later received reports that she had allegedly been killed by kidnappers in Obioma, Udi, on Saturday, May 9.
The post described the late woman as a loving mother and respected figure in her community, with family members expressing deep pain over her sudden death.
"No one deserves to lose their life this way… Our queen was taken from us far too soon," the emotional tribute read.
The development has once again raised concerns over insecurity and kidnapping incidents affecting different parts of Nigeria, especially in the Southeast region. Residents and social media users have continued to call for stronger security measures to protect lives and communities.
