A wedding reportedly scheduled for September 19, 2026, in Abia State was allegedly cancelled just 24 hours before the ceremony following a disagreement between the families over Idu Uno, an Igbo marriage tradition.
According to a report shared by Online Court, the bride’s family reportedly wanted the wedding postponed until December to allow an overseas relative to provide household items for the bride’s new home.
The items were said to include a washing machine, refrigerator, kitchen utensils and other household necessities.
However, the groom reportedly refused to accept another postponement, leading to the cancellation of the wedding.
The report did not provide independent confirmation from either family.
