Jose Mourinho explains why Ryan Giggs left Manchester United
Jose Mourinho insists it is "not my fault" that Ryan Giggs chose to leave Manchester United because he wanted the top job himself.
And Mourinho confirmed in his first press conference as manager that there could be no place for Giggs, who was offered "any important job" at the club except for the one he truly wanted.
The Portuguese said: "I never run away from my responsibilities but I can say that it's not my responsibility that Ryan Giggs is not in the club.

However, the former Wales star wasn’t offered the job following Louis van Gaal’s sacking.
“Jose Mourinho is obviously a top, top manager. United are always about winning trophies – and he’s proven,” he said.
And Giggs hailed the former Chelsea boss as a top manager, speaking to American outlet CNN.
There have been plenty of ups and downs this summer at Old Trafford, and Giggs reckons it was the right time to leave to progress his own managerial career.
“I’ve never been one to look back, I always look forward,” he added.
“Ultimately, I want to be a manager in my own right. I’ve had a great apprenticeship playing under Sir Alex Ferguson and then working under Louis van Gaal in the last couple of years. I’ve really enjoyed it.”
