Serena Williams Beats Angelique Kerber In Wimbledon Women’s Singles Final

Now, that’s why Wimbledon is considered the best tournament in tennis! Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber fought in the women’s singles final on July 9, but there could only be one winner — congrats Serena!

It doesn’t get much better than seeing Serena Williams, 34, when she brings her A-game and when she was in full-force when she faced Angelique Kerber, 28, in the Wimbledon final on Saturday in two straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.

 "Yeah, it's been incredibly difficult not to think about it. I had a couple of tries this year," Williams said during the trophy ceremony. "But it makes the victory even sweeter to know how hard I worked for it."


When the final point was scored during the Wimbledon women’s single’s epic finale on July 9, there was only one left standing: Serena was supreme winning her seventh Wimbledon title! You go, girl!
