TVC’s Veronica Onuchi makes CNN Awards shortlist

Veronica Onuchi, News Anchor at TVC NEWS, Africa’s first authentic 24/7 news channel, has been nominated as finalist at the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2016 Awards. 
In a statement on Monday by Ferial Haffajee, Chair of the independent
judging panel, it was announced that Veronica is among 38 journalists
across the continent on its shortlist.Haffajee said the competition received 1637 entries from 14 countries including French and Portuguese-speaking Africa.
Speaking on this year’s edition of the annual event, Tony Maddox, Executive Vice-President and Managing Director of CNN International said: “This year has seen a record number of entries for the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards, from a diverse array of countries across the continent.
The passion which African journalists display for telling compelling and top class stories knows no bounds.
