Hundreds of protesters have marched through Berlin to demand that Chancellor Angela Merkel steps down her open-door refugee policy.


Protesters marched under the slogan “Merkel has to go”chanting against asylum laws, policies and the German leader’s “We can do this “refugee mantra.

The demonstration comes days after the German leader had to face down accusations that her policy allowed Islamist terrorism to take hold in Germany.

With record showing five attacks being carried out since July 18 in Germany, injuring dozens and killing 15 people, including four attackers.

However, Politicians have also faulted Merkel’s policy holding that it granted access to more than a million migrants entering Germany in the past year, many fleeing war in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
