Liverpool will rightly feel they should have won, though a couple of big refereeing decisions went their way and Spurs came back strongly in the last third of the game.
The two left-backs scored the goals, James Milner and Danny Rose, and it was an enjoyably open game. Liverpool’s front three of Coutinho, Firmino and Mane were brilliant for an hour.
