Kigali International Airport is second best in Africa, Singapore Changi International Airport takes lead globally

Kigali International Airport has been ranked the second-best airport in Africa and best in East Africa, based on travellers’ response, where an acclaimed travel website asked them to rate their airport experiences.


The survey credited Kigali International Airport’s recent renovations, noting that the works have improved the airport’s on time performance and cleanliness.

Commenting on the ranking, Tonny Barigye, the public relations officer at Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority, said that Rwanda has invested over $50 million to ensure that transformational change in traveler’s comfort and world class facilities is realised.

Globally, Singapore Changi International Airport ranked the best airport in the world, South Korea’s Seoul Incheon come second and Tokyo Haneda in Japan came in third.
