Emmanuella Lekwauwa Writes...

What do we expect from your mission work?

I want to see more Christ centered, Bible saturated, spirit filled, fruit bearing and profit making, heavenly focused disciples raised for community transformation that will prepare the people for this end time revival.

What Connection do you see between technology and the spread of the gospel?

Romans 11: 36 gives us a better way to answer that question. God in His wisdom knows what the world will turn to as this end time has gone ahead of us to make the technology. And considering this time of lockdown across different countries of the world, I wouldn't know what would have become of the gospel if there's no technology. The church therefore need to see technology as God's amazing gift and blessing to our generation and maximize every opportunities it offers for the advancement of the Gospel. Through technology, presently, I've converts and disciples from several nations of the earth without living my base.

In the midst of this pandemic, how can the gospel get to the unbelievers?

By taking advantage of technology. Since the inception of the lockdown, I still do my normal mission activities virtually. I resume online in the morning and close late in the night. There are different platforms that offers you opportunity to engage the unbelievers where they are. We offer training on digital ministry for anyone that wish to maximize this golden opportunity.

Do you see this pandemic as a sign that the end time is near?

Yes, these and many others are the signs given in Mathew 24. So, every believers needs to set their heart on Him this time around like never before.

How do you get In touch with the sick as to care for them?

For now, what I do is to stand in the gap for them, and God has been helping us to faithfully do that daily. I belief when we pray, God will not only send them the required help, but He'll raise them up from their beds of afflictions.

Churches are changing their way of service. How do you see them maintaining a good sense of spiritual connection during this period?

Philippians 2:1-4 provides answer to this

Can you say that this virus is coming between people and their Faith?

Yes, and No! Yes in the sense that, baby Christians might find it difficult maintaining individual spiritual balance. But to the mature Christians, we see it as a platform to build our faith even the more.

How are the local communities worshipping God?

Since Church is not a building and no regulation forbid praying with your family, so, each family is expected to make their home their church for now, while the father of the house become the pastor over his household.

Do you think that the current pandemic is a tool to attack the body of Christ?

Not at all! It's rather a tool to awaken us. The Church is not just sleeping, we are already slumbering, and I belief this experience will awake a large numbers of us.

Do you see the church as a source of hope to the world as to put an end to this virus?

Yes, according to Matthew 5:13 & 14. We are the only source of God's solution to our world.

C.A.N has declared a week daily prayer for members. Do we expect a positive result from this action?

If sincerely observed and not just as a ritual, definitely, our God will arise (2 Chronicles 7:14).

In what ways, do  you see the body of Christ fighting against this pandemic?

Some churches has been helpful in making several donations to the government to fight the virus, while others are busy chasing the shadow.

How is the current pandemic slowing the gospel especially in Ogun State?

Well, as no physical activities is allowed, every line up programs of the various churches has be put on hold, which perhaps would have added some souls to the kingdom.

This is a period when loving and caring for our neighbors means keeping your distance. What can you say about the growth of Christians during this lockdown order?

Well, it has greatly affected some many peoples spiritual growth because the fellowship with other brethren they so much adore is no longer possible until further notice.

With all these happenings, can you say that our leaders have failed us?

I don't really like shifting blames. We all have our shares in this matter. Everyone of us is a leader in one capacity or the other. If we have all been managing our roles well, then we may not be where we are today.

What's your advice to Christians?

My advice to my fellow Christians is that we should be steadfast in our faith as the coming of our Lord Jesus is near and let's please in our little way to reach out to our brethren in needs with the hands of fellowship and let's also make the best use of technology to bring in more souls to the kingdom.
