Foursquare Gospel Church has organized a one week youth programme, uses technology in reaching the people through virtual online social media streaming and television transmission.
This year’s Youth Week is tagged with the theme “INFLUENCE” (Matt. 5:13-16) holding between Monday 20th and Sunday 26th April 2020 across all branches.
Th ongoing youth week is one of the national programs held annually in the youth ministry. It is a deliberate way of training the upcoming generation in the work of ministry and to fit into God’s agenda for them.
The National Youth Coordinator, Pastor Gbenga Olowe, stated while delivering his sermon that everyone is a product of what has influenced him in the past as such whatever has impacted you positively or negatively may be the reason for the lifestyle you are living now.
He sees Influence as the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or ensure favorable treatment from someone, especially through status, contacts, or wealth.
He said, "Influence is what has flown into your life that you impact into others that you meet in the journey of life
"You must influence your world positively by allowing the Holy Spirit to show forth Jesus Christ through you and by keeping Godly association with heavenly minded friends within your environment and circle of influence" ,he added.
However, the only one that is good and the greatest unseen influence in a Christian’s life is the Holy Spirit. The influence of the Holy Spirit is vital. It is the most important for our survival as God’s children. Anyone that is influenced by the Holy Spirit will make positive impacts in the world.
